چکیده
Florida is a leading producer of fresh-market tomatoes (Solanum lycopersicum) in the US, $262 million industry for state. In October 2019, eight tomato plants showing chlorotic, cupped leaves and stunted foliage (Fig. 1) were collected from c. 1.6 ha community garden Alachua County, Florida. The symptoms observed characteristic Tomato yellow leaf curl virus (TYLCV). Samples tested by PCR using TYLCV-specific primers Navot et al. (1992). Three samples positive TYLCV. Lateral flow immunoassay tests (“immunostrip assays”; Agdia, USA) Pepino mosaic Cucumber negative. However, an immunostrip Tobacco (TMV) gave faint result one three TYLCV-positive sample, suggesting mixed infection. Tobamovirus-like rigid rod-shaped particles ?300 nm length, also dips this plant LVEM5 transmission electron microscope (DeLong America, USA). Tests common tobamoviruses, i.e. TMV, virus, mottle (Sui al., 2017), mild green (Cohen 2006), brown rugose fruit (ToBRFV) (Ling 2019) conducted specific RT-PCR with total RNA extracted RNeasy® Plant Mini kits (Qiagen, Germany). Florida (USA), particularly the southern portion of the State, is in a precarious situation concerning arboviral diseases. The geographic location, climate, lifestyle, and the volume of travel and commerce are all conducive to arbovirus transmission. During the last decades, imported dengue cases have been regularly recorded in Florida, and the recent re-emergence of dengue as a major public he...

During 2015, marginal scorch symptoms were detected in the production base of indigowoad rootin Hubei, China. On the basis of morphological features and 18S rDNA sequences, the pathogen was identified as Cladosporium sp. Koch’s postulates were fulfilled by pathogenicity tests on potted indigowoad root seedlings. To our knowledge, this report is the first of marginal scorch on indigowoad root ca...
متن کاملGender and spatial patterns in metal concentrations in brown anoles (Anolis sagrei) in southern Florida, USA.
Comparatively little is known about heavy metal levels in reptiles, particularly for lizards. Yet lizards often are common predators that could serve as bioindicators of contamination on a small spatial scale. This study examined the differences in metal concentrations of adult brown anoles (Anolis sagrei) for arsenic, cadmium, chromium, lead, manganese, mercury, and selenium in six locations i...
